Description
Gaviscon Extra Strength Chewable Foamtabs is an antacid that helps to relieve symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux. It quickly neutralizes stomach acid and helps keep acid down for hours.
Direction:
- Recommended Dosage for Adults: Chew 2-4 tablets, up to 12 tablets daily, after meals and at bedtime as needed, OR as directed by a doctor. Doses should be separated by 2 hours. Do not swallow whole.
Recommended Dosage for Children ages 6-11: Chew 1-2 tablets, up to 6 tablets daily, after meals and at bedtime as needed, OR as directed by a doctor. Doses should be separated by 2 hours. Do not swallow whole.
- Relief of heartburn/acid reflux symptoms should occur within 5-10 minutes of taking the product.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks, recur, worsen, or if heartburn symptoms occur more than once per week in a child, or if heartburn/acid reflux is accompanied by painful swallowing, weight loss, vomiting of blood, or recurrent vomiting.
- Except under your doctor's advice, if pregnant or on a low salt diet, do not exceed 3 tablets daily, do not take if you suffer from kidney disease or within 2 hours of another medicine, because effectiveness may be altered.
- Keep out of reach of children.
