Description

Alka-Seltzer Acetylsalicylic Acid (ASA) Effervescent Tablets provide fast relief of upset stomach, acid indigestion, and heartburn. Alka-Seltzer can also provide relief from headache and fever plus body aches and pains.

Directions:

Dissolve in one glass (250mL) of water. Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine, as the effectiveness of the other medicine may be altered. Do not take immediately after food and drink.
For adults age 18 years or older: Dissolve 2 tablets in water every 4 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 tablets daily.
For adults age 60 years and older: Dissolve 2 tablets every 4 hours OR as directed by a doctor. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Medicinal Ingredients:

Acetylsalicylic Acid 325 mg
Sodium Bicarbonate 1916 mg
Citric Acid 1000 mg

Warnings:

Do not take it if you are allergic to ASA, salicylates, or other ingredients in this product.
Do not take if you have an ulcer, a history of ulcers, or are prone to bleeding.
Do not take if you have active or severe liver or kidney disease or congestive heart failure.
Do not take if you have a history of asthma caused by salicylates or NSAIDs.
Do not take it if you are using methotrexate at doses of 15 mg per week or more.
Do not take it if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy.
Do not take if you have low calcium, stomach acid, or are on a low salt diet.
